Hojicha is a traditional Japanese roasted green tea. The word “Hoji” means roasted and “cha” means tea. Unlike regular green tea powders, Hojicha is roasted, giving it a warm brown color and a unique, smooth flavor.

The roasting process occurs at around 200°C and is rapidly cooled, reducing catechins and caffeine—the main causes of bitterness in tea. This results in a mellow, easy-to-drink tea, perfect for those who prefer a gentle green tea flavor with lower caffeine.

Iced Hojicha Green Tea Latte
Ingredients:
– Hojicha Green Tea Base 1 tbsp
– Hot water 60 ml
– Boncafe Milk Sauce 50 ml
– Fresh milk 60 ml
– Ice 16 oz
– Optional: Top with milk foam
Directions:
Dissolve the Hojicha Green Tea Base in hot water. Add Boncafe Milk Sauce and fresh milk, stir well, then pour over ice. Top with milk foam if desired, and serve immediately for a smooth, aromatic iced Hojicha latte.
