BONCAFÉ RAINFOREST RESERVE
Coffee is one of the most popular and universal beverage. There is no denying that the production of coffee beans for the mass market has had an environmental as well as a social impact on the farmers’ quality of life in coffee producing countries. In the past, there have been many organizations that tried to set a standard for coffee production in a similar manner to other agricultural produce, which is verified by their Organic or Fair Trade certifications.
In this issue, we will be looking at Boncafé’s latest product—the Rainforest Reserve, a Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee which we would like to introduce to our readers.
The Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard is used to certify farms and producer group involved in crop and cattle production. The standard is a rigorous set of environmental, social, and economic criteria that promote sustainability on farms around the world. Our comprehensive farm-management standards and traceability system help to ensure that product or components sourced for products bearing our green frog seal can be traced back to well-managed farms and/or farm group that protect workers, wildlife and communities.
