Central European way to enjoy coffee - also
called a "long" espresso. |

Ingredients:
10 g of medium-fine to coarse ground coffee (french
or medium-roast)
150 ml hot water at a temperature of 90-95 °C
Direction:
The coffee, ground as freshly as possible and
well compressed, is extracted through a brewing
chamber (of a traditional piston-type or, preferably,
a fully automatic machine) at 8-9 bar brewing
pressure for around 20-30 seconds.
Serve in pre-heated cups, with loose sugar and
cream; if required, serve with a glass of water.

coffee (espresso or dark roast)
30 ml hot water at a temperature of 90-95 °C
Direction:
The coffee, ground as freshly as possible and well
compressed, is extracted through a brewing chamber
(of a traditional piston-type or fully automatic
machine) at 8-9 bar brewing pressure for around
25-30 seconds.
Sern pre-heated espresso cups, with loose sugar;
if required serve with a glass of water. |

Espresso
Macchiato |

Ingredients:
1 freshly prepared espresso coffee
Some milk foam
Direction:
A shot of milk foam is added to the freshly prepared
espresso coffee.
The white spot, or "macchia", that this
causes turns it into a spotted "macchiato".
Serve in a pre-heated espresso cup with loose sugar. |

Ingredients:
- Espresso coffee
- Sugar
- Brown sugar
- Non-dairy creamer
- Unsweetened condensed milk
- Cracked ice
Direction:
Combine all the ingredients except ice in a separate
container.
Pour the mixture in a glass full with ice and
top with unsweetened condensed milk, ready to
serve.
