Irish
Coffee |
| |
| The
classical Irish way of drinking coffee - with melted
sugar, whiskey and whipped cream. |
|
Ingredients:
- Irish malt whiskey
- cane sugar
- strong coffee
- semi-whipped cream
Direction:
Pour the cane sugar and the whiskey into the glass,
stir and heat through the glass over an open flame.
If you wish, you can flambé the whiskey.
Once the coffee has been added, carefully allow
the semi-whipped cream to flow over the back of
a spoon into the glass.

Coffee
Edinburgh |
| |
| A
nice variation - contains alcohol, yet not too strong. |
| |
|
Ingredients:
- Espresso coffee
- Drambuie
- Hot milk
- Milk foam
- Cocao powder
Direction:
Pour the Drambuie into the warmed glass, heat
with steam, and then add the espresso.
Top up with hot milk and milk foam. Lightly sprinkle
with cocoa powder.
A note on sugar:
No sugar actually
needed. Go easy with serving extra sugar,
because the Drambuie already lends a pleasant
sweetness to the coffee.
