In an attempt to find sweetener that has identical taste as sugar, scientists had stumbled upon 'Sucralose,' which is the only artificial sweetener ranked as "safe" by consumer advocacy group (CSPI).
Sucralose is approximately 600 times sweeter than sugar, however, its commercially-produced granulated form tastes just like sugar. It also is stable under heat so the taste does not change while cooking.
